Karen Eitel ~ Photographer
Art Through The Lens |

It has been said that gardens are a form of autobiography. If that is true then I feel my photography reflects my lifelong love of flowers, both cultivated and wild, and the natural environment in which they grow. My images range from natural landscapes and gardens to closeups of individual flowers. I prefer to capture my subjects in their natural environments, but when the winter drags on a little too long, I have been known to purchase some of my favorite flowers to arrange and photograph as a still life in my studio. I also enjoy photographing subjects that reflect my love of the outdoors and all that it has to offer, no matter the place or season.
Though working mostly with 35mm film and digital cameras, I occasionally use a 4x5 view camera when I feel the image calls for it. I print my work on a professional Epson printer using colorfast pigmented inks on archival matte watercolor type paper.
Each image in the Portfolio is presented in a specific size but can be custom printed - larger or smaller - by request.. Please inquire if interested. My large format images are individually printed by Stienhour Wemyss Editions of Vermont using the same archival materials. I sign each print to order. Unfortunately, due to cost of mailing framed pieces, I can only sell unframed from my Gallery Works Portfolio.
PLEASE NOTE THAT PRICES ARE FOR PRINT ONLY. If you would like to purchase a Gallery print matted - ready to place in a frame of your choice - please add an additional 40% to the print price. This will also cover the postage to ship within the U.S.. I use only archival materials, 4ply mat boards, 3 inches wide per side around print.
My work is displayed in both businesses, private collections and galleries throughout New England. They are also in private collections in Florida, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island as well as Texas, Nebraska, California and Arizona.
The PAYPAL method of payment is available in both portfolios. The Gallery Portfolio of images will be updated on a regular basis. I invite you to peruse my two Portfolios - Gallery Works and Small Works. If you have any questions or comments regarding my work, please contact me. - feedback is always welcomed!
